Course objectives
The aim paediatrics is an exploration of patterns of growth and development of children in different age periods with special reference to age and neonatal kojeneckému. A characteristic feature of paediatrics is a preventive approach with the aim of achieving optimal child development in terms of physical, mental and social, which is a prerequisite for health in adulthood. Pediatrics is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases typical for children age where the emphasis is the specific characteristics of this period of life, different investigative techniques and special treatment technique.
Learning outcomes
The student has knowledge of the origin, course, treatment and prognosis of the most common childhood diseases. The student is able to define risk factors that threaten the healthy development of the child and adolescents.

  • First history of paediatrics. 2nd Tour of child care, the charter of children's rights, co-operation with the family of a sick child. 3rd Psychological Approach to the pediatric patient, prevention and hygiene in pediatrics. 4. Evaluation of psychomotor development. 5th Nutrition and nutritional disorders in infants, foundations Dietetics. 6th Physiology of neonatal period. 7th Pathological conditions in the neonatal period. 8th Most common congenital defects. 9th Basics pharmacotherapy, investigative procedures and differences nursing care in pediatrics. 10th Diseases of organ systems, focusing on the peculiarities of childhood. 11th Acute and chronically ill child. 12th Emergency in pediatrics. 13th Distribution of childhood, child growth and development, psychomotor development of infants. 14th Physiological newborn, anatomical and functional peculiarities of neonatal age. 15th Foundations of genetic counseling and genetic foundations. 16th neonatal disease. 17th Metabolism and internal environment. 18th Diseases of upper respiratory tract. 19th Diseases of lower respiratory tract disease. 20th Cystic fibrosis, chronic respiratory diseases. 21st Disorders of immunity, often ill child. 22nd Most common allergic disease in childhood. 23rd Bronchial asthma. 24th Developmental Psychology. 25th Diseases of the heart and blood circulation in children. 26th Foundations of rheumatology. 27th Kidney disease. 28th Disorders of the urinary tract. 29th Diseases of red blood cells. 30th Diseases of white blood cells. 31st Bleeding disorders. 32 Childhood cancer. 33 The most common neurological disease in children, convulsions. 34 The most common diseases of the endocrine glands. 35 Diabetologie. 36 The most common skin diseases in children. 37 The most common infectious diseases of childhood. 38th Poisoning and injuries in children.
