Course objectives
The aim of this newly introduced subject is to exercise choosen substantial problems of clinical medicine from the point of view of anatomy, embryology, physiology, pathophysiology, pathology, mikrobiology, imunology and finally clinics. Thus, we will our concept of education to strategy of USMLE, Step 1.
Learning outcomes
Student bude po absolvování předmětu schopen:
- interpretovat základní onkologické pojmy
- vysvětlit nejnovější koncepce kancerogeneze (R and W genom)
- interpretovat principy nejnovějších metodologií molekulární biologie, aplikovatelné v onkologii
-vysvětlit principy epigenetiky a aplikovat je na poli kancerogeneze
-umět měřit krevní tlak
-aplikovat správné posouzení klinické významnosti naměřených hodnot krevních tlaku u dospělých pacientů i u dětí
-posoudit možnosti léčby vysokého krevního tlaku u konkrétního pacienta

  • Cancerogenesis
  • Concept of „Read and Write“ genome and consequences of its application in oncology (2 hrs)
  • „Next generation sequencing“ in oncology (1.5 hrs)
  • Importance of cytogenetics in hematological malignancies (1.5 hrs)
  • Importance of epigenetics in oncology (1.5 hr)
  • Pathogenesis of leukemia´s (0.5 hod)
  • Pathogenesis of multiple myeloma (1.5 hr )
  • Pathogenesis of solid tumors (1 hr, přednáška)
  • Hypertension
  • Dysregulation of blood pressure in hypertension, hypertension in childhood, methodology of blood pressure measurement –misinterpretation of values (3 hrs)
  • Clinical and pharmacological aspects of hypertension (4 hrs)
  • Strokes (3 hrs)
