Course objectives
The main aim is to understand the principles of dose adjustement under renal and liver impairment. Clinical pharmacology of antineoplastics, analgesics, antibiotics and psychotropics with emphasis on applied pharmacokinetics and drug-drug interactions management are further topics of this subject. Another topic is safe and rational pharmacotherapy. Interactive lecture is the main form of teaching.

  • Dose adjustment in liver impairment, drug induced hepatotoxicity Clinical pharmacology in oncology Dose adjustment in renal insuficiency, drug induced nephrotoxicity Clinical pharmacology of analgesics, pain management Clinically relevant drug-drug interactions Antibiotics in ICU, applied pharmacokinetics, adverse effects of antibiotics Clinical pharmacology of psychotropics Safe and rational pharmacotherapy Presentation of case reports Colloquium

Teaching methods
During the studying the students can acquire the knowledge of clinical pharmacology at the lectures given by professionals in the sectors.
Assessment methods
The students have to pass the colloquium. The final multiple-choice test consists out of 27 questions. Minimum 19 of the test questions have to be answered correctly.
