- Course objectives
- The course “Fundamentals of Education” represents a continuation of the body of educational and psychological knowledge acquired by the students in the preceding stage of their studies. Both tuition and the studies are aimed at acquiring the thinking of modern education science in the systemic context of educational and pedagogical phenomena. Emphasis is laid on interactive and communicative aspects of educational and pedagogical work, on the development of activity, independence, and creativity of the students. The students are stimulated to be open to innovation, experimenting, and further improvement of instruction. The students will acquire alternative approaches to developing a curriculum, to methods of instruction, and to putting into use modern didactic techniques. They learn to understand the basic didactic situations, to see them in mutual connections, and to master the elementary didactic skills.
- Learning outcomes
