Course objectives
After finishing this exercise a student will be able to assess features, types and techniques of materials processing. The student chronologically aligns using materials and technological process of spectacle lens and frames producing. The student discusses newest surface layers, which improve optical, physical and esthetical demands given on contemporary lenses.

  • Production of sferical and torical mineral spectacle lenses
  • Organics materials for spectacle lenses production
  • Spectacle lenses on correction of presbiopia
  • Special spectacle lenses
  • Finish processing of spectacle lenses - thin films ( coatings )
  • Finish processing of matter of spectacle lenses
  • UV light - safety filters
  • Ultrasound and ther exploiting in optical praxis
  • Eye prothesis - sortes, production
