- Abstract
- The main aim of the subject is to provide students with sufficient basic knowledge and information about drugs used in the treatment of selected most important diseases that radiologic physics may encounter in clinical practice.
The subaims are:
- familiarize students with valid drug legislation,
- introduce several drug groups building on the knowledge of general pharmacological principles
- case studies - Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, the student will be able to:
- search for relevant information on drugs and gain this information from reliable sources,
- characterize specific drug groups stated in the syllabus with the emphazis on their therapeutic and adverse effects and potential drug interactions.

- Approaches, practices, and methods used in teaching
- In practicals, the topics stated in the syllabus are introduced to the students by the pharmacology teacher in the form of a presentation. Various practical activities are planned for the students and will be obligatory to achieve credits. These practical activities will use available information technology and will focus on e.g., case reports form the real clinical practice, searching in valid legislation, searching on web pages of relevant regulatory authorities.

- Attend all practicals
- Participate actively in teamwork during practicals
- Pass credit test - written form - case report - Language of instruction
