Course objectives
1. To exercise the student´s reading skills 2. To help develop the student´s level of English 3. To practice the student´s speaking skills through discussions 4. To acquiant the student with contemporary English fiction 5. To bridge the unversity and community life 6. To enhance life-long learning
Learning outcomes
Student: • bez větších potíží přečte tři autentická literární díla ze současné anglosaské tvorby; • si osvojí čtenářské strategie k extenzivnímu čtení v anglickém jazyce; • je schopen zasvěceně diskutovat o tématech, prostředí a postavách díla, narativních strategiích a literárních stylech v anglickém jazyce; • se orientuje v současné literární produkci, je aktivním čtenářem a návštěvníkem některé z knihoven.
