Course objectives
At the end of the course students will develop of knowledge of characteristics of divisions, classes, selected species cyanobacteria, algae and fungi. Utilize the knowledge gained at elementary school.
Learning outcomes
- the student uses the correct professional biological terminology and is able to select concepts and phenomena corresponding to the level of primary school pupils; - the student selects and uses model organisms in the teaching to document selected concepts and phenomena; - the student works with biological material and processes it in the form of didactic means for the needs of primary school.
Syllabus
  • Lectures 1. Systems and evolution of cyanobacteria. Basic characteristics, species. Function in the ecosystems, importance for people. • 2. Systems and evolution of algae. Basic characteristics, species. Function in the ecosystems, importance for people. • 3. Systems and evolution of fungi and "fungi-like organisms". Basic characteristics, species. Function in the ecosystems, importance for people. • 4. Cyanobacteria, algae and fungi in teaching at the elementary school.
  • Laboratory excersise
  • Each student prepares a learning task on the topic of cyanobacteria or algae and on mushrooms - for elementary school, and then demonstrates the output.
