Course objectives
The aim is to get acquainted with the practice in different institutions of art mediation. Galleries, cultural centres, after-school institutions
Learning outcomes
Learners are oriented to different types of art mediation and activation programs in the gallery
Syllabus
  • 1. Typology of activation programmes 2. Visits to institutions 3. Passive participation in selected programmes 4. Preparation of own programme 5. Cooperation in the organization of the Brno Art Week project Schedule: Meetings and study in the institution 8-12 hours Preparation, research, consultation 3-6 hours Practice (animation, talks, teaching) 2-4 hours

Assessment methods
1.Textual and pictorial elaboration of experiences from hearings, consultations and studies in the institution 2. Reflective descriptions of the observed programmes with photo-documentation with basic data specified according to the type of programme (institution, date of the programme, type of programme, scope, exhibition, programme participants, reflective comments, etc.) 3. Discussion paper in the seminar
