Course objectives
The goal of the course is to exercise mediation as one of the key competences for the communication in foreign language. The course extends the practical language classes in master studies.
Learning outcomes
The students are at the end of the course able to produce spoken as well as written forms of mediation like summary, paraphrase or explain at the C1 level. The students will have the opportunity to exercise all mentioned types in interlingual (German-Czech, Czech-German) as well as intralingual (German-German, Czech-Czech) way.

"Zápočet": Homework (prepare oral and written texts), have 1 written mediation assignment of free choice evaluated by the instructor, have 1 oral mediation assignment of free choice evaluated by the instructor.
"Kolokvium": Homework (prepare oral and written texts), have 2 written mediation tasks of free choice assessed, subsequent editing, have 1 oral mediation task of free choice assessed.
Náhradní absolvování
Students on a study abroad program will have their ISP (Individual Study Plan) recognized, and they will be allowed to fulfill the requirements (after agreement with the instructors at the beginning of each semester) through distance learning. Possible recognition of the course (for a course at the host university) should be discussed with the lecturer before the start of the semester.
