Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to deepen students' knowledge of the education of pupils with special educational needs in the mainstream school, to acquaint them with the current school legislation and advisory services.
Learning outcomes
- The student is well oriented in the field of special pedagogy;
- knows the basic characteristics of pupils with special educational needs by individual types of disability; - can use the acquired knowledge to educate pupils with SEN as a teacher assistant;
- has the theoretical knowledge about inclusive education of pupils with SEN;
- they can use them in practice in the context of individualisation and differentiation of teaching.
Syllabus
  • 1. Inclusion - Concept, Inclusive Education, Inclusive Didactics.
  • 2. Framework Conditions for Inclusive Education and Education (Legislative Conditions, Education Act, Decree of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic).
  • 3. Pedagogical and psychological counseling services (school counseling centers, specialized counseling facilities).
  • 4. System of curricular documents (White Paper, FEP, RVP ZV, two levels of FEP, education area).
  • 5. Framework Educational Program for Gymnasium and Secondary Vocational Training 6. Diagnosis in special pedagogy at school age.
  • 7. Support measures for pupils with special educational needs
  • 8. Logopedics (speech, communication, impaired communication ability, etiology and classification of defects and communication abilities).
  • 9. Symptomatic speech disorders (conception, speech in pupils with MS, characteristic of dysarthria, speech in pupils with mental disabilities, peculiarities in speech development of pupils of the blind).
  • 10. Alternative and augmentative communication (characteristics of AAK, advantages and disadvantages of use, dynamic and static communication systems).
  • 11. Surdopedy (concepts, etiology, classification of auditory defects, communication systems, hearing prostheses, educational programs for pupils with hearing impairment).
  • 12. Communication of pupils with hearing impairment (spoken speech, written form of speech, reading, auxiliary articulation features, dactille language, sign language - deaf sign language, sign language).
  • 13. Specific learning or behavioral disorders (conception, etiology, SPU classification, SPU diagnosis, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysortography, dyscalculia, specific behavioral disorders, legislation).
  • 14. Somatopedy (concepts, classification, characteristics of selected types of physical disability, conditions of inclusive education of pupils with physical disabilities, compensatory aids, pre-vocational and vocational training).
  • 15. Cerebral palsy (characteristic of MO, MO, MO as a combined disability, special pedagogical diagnosis of pupil with MO, tasks of SPC).
  • 16. Chronic diseases and their influence on the education and professional preparation of pupils (epilepsy, allergies and asthmatic diseases).
  • 17. Ophthalmopedia (concepts, etiology, classifications of visual defects, education of pupils with severe visual impairment, consultancy services by age groups).
  • 18. Psychopedics (concepts, etiology, classification, characteristics of individual grades, education of pupils with mental disabilities, pre-professional and vocational training, counseling services).
  • 19. PAS (concepts, etiology, signs of autistic behavior, diagnostic criteria, PAS targeting and education of pupils, TEACCH program, SPC, education options).
  • 20. Concomitant multiple disabilities (concept, group of persons and basic characteristics of severe disability, definition of combined defects according to the Ministry of Education, classification, characteristics of selected defects, possibilities of education).
  • 21. Ethopedia (characteristics of behavioral disorders - special pedagogical point of view - etopedic, sociological aspect, classification of behavioral disorders, prevention and resolution of behavioral disorders, institutional and protective education, overview of school facilities, legislation)
  • 22. Pathological dependence (concept, drug addiction, alcohol addiction, tobacco, addiction to gaming machines - classification diagnostic criteria).
  • 23. Patopsychology - characteristics of basic concepts.
