Course objectives
The aim of the course is to gain an overview of possible intervention approaches in individuals with physical and disability.
Learning outcomes
The student is oriented in the field of therapies, facilitation techniques and special pedagogical support for individuals with physical disabilities and individuals with patients.
Syllabus
  • 1. Therapy in people with combined disabilities – general overview, use in pupils with combined disabilities. 2. Vojta method, Bobath concept. 3. Support of psychomotor development in a child with severe physical disabilities – positioning, aids. 4. Snoezelen – starting points, types of rooms, structure of the clock. 5. Basal stimulation – characteristics, use in pupils with combined disabilities. 6. Special pedagogical diagnostics of fine motor skills and graphomotorics in preschool children. 7. Possibilities of development of fine motor skills, graphomotorics and writing, connection with the educational process. 8. Diagnosis and intervention of sensomosory skills and in children with central disabilities. 9. Psychological peculiarities in pupils with severe (progressive) disease – Duchenne progressive muscular dystrophy. 10. Specifics of approaches in pupils with health disadvantage – diabetes. 11. Specifics of approaches in pupils with health disadvantage – asthma. 12. Specifics of approaches in pupils with health disadvantage – cystic fibrosis. 13. Oncological diseases. Specifics of approaches and support.
