Course objectives
The goal of the subject is stabilising of connection between language and communicative competence and the following performance. The students shall win the more difficult stylistic forms, almost of the technical, administrative and publicistic style. The lectures are concentrated on improvement of the most frequent stylistic failures and on the development of the creativity of speaking and writing.
Syllabus
  • 1. The basic types of the communicative activities in the connection with the communicative goal and function 2. Stylistic units of texts in the communication; their characteristics. 3. Practice in using of difficult stylistic units: a) of the written text: explanation, exposition, reflection... b) of the spoken text: rhetoric forms - speech, adress, discussion, lecture... 4. The most frequent language mistakes and stylistic failures 5. Development of the productive style 6. Communicative creativity and creating of the more difficult style text units (feuilleton, note, comment, essay...)
