Course objectives
Students will work on improving their English in all four major skill groups: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Classes will move quickly through the coursebook, Inside Out Advanced. As students are training to be teachers, they will be expected to take an active role in their own learning, with an eye toward understanding how to share information with their peers, and later their own students.
Syllabus
  • The syllabus is drawn around units 11 to 14 of inside Out Adv. Two written assignments must be satisfactorily completed during the course.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Students must demonstrate a good command of use of English at an advanced level during the final exam. 65% pass mark is required in Use of english, Listening,Reading, and essay papers. Students failing one paper will resit that paper. Students failing more than one paper will resit the whole exam.
