Course objectives
The goal of the course is to give the students tools that enable a competent analysis of poetry, drama and fiction. Thus, this course is tied in with the Introduction in Literature: it gives the chance to apply and substantiate the knowledge that was gained there.
Syllabus
  • What is literature? Analysis, interpretation, hermeneutics. Fiction: Narration, narrative situations, time relations in works of fiction. Poetry: rhythms, tropes, figures of speech, form and content. Drama: structure, figures, genres.
