Course objectives
The goals are improving the language competence, the knowledge of French grammar and a substantial widening the vocabulary. The exercises are biased on development of reading, speech and listening. The reference textbook is Le Nouveau sans frontieres perfectionnement, complemented by materials written below. At the end of this course, students should be able to: understand extended speech and lectures, articles and reports concerned with contemporary problems provided that the topic is reasonably familiar; interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity, take an active part in discussion in familiar contexts while accounting for, and sustaining, their views; write an essay or report, passing on information or giving reasons in support of, or against, a particular point of view.
