Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows:
- to finishe the chemical specialised preparation of future primary school chemistry teachers.
- to recapitulate specialised chemical knowledge and to improve it according to the wishes of the students.
Syllabus
  • General chemistry:
  • 1. Fundamental particles. Structure of atom. Structure of atom nucleus, radioactivity, nuclear reactions. Electrones in atoms.
  • 2. Periodical law and its applications. Basic chemical laws.
  • 3. Chemical bonding, intermolecular interactions. Theory of hybridisation, method VSEPR.
  • Inorganic chemistry:
  • 4. Nomenclature of inorganic compounds. Hydrogen. Alkali metals. Magnesium and alkaline earth metals. Boron, aluminium.
  • 5. Carbon and its inorganic compounds. Silicon, germanium, tin, lead. Nitrogen. Phosphorus. Group 16, 17, 18.
  • 6. Group 6. Group 7. Fe, Co, Ni. Group 11. Group 12. Group of lanthan, group of actinium.
  • Organic chemistry:
  • 7. Possibilities of chemical bonds of carbons atom in organic compounds
  • Aplication of hybridisation theory and VSEPR method in organic chemistry
  • Physical properties of organic compounds

  • 12. Basic chemical laboratory operations. Mass and amount of substance. Solutions, concentration, solubility, precipitation - use in analytical chemistry. Group reactions of cations and anions. Selective reactions of cations and anions.
  • 13. Protolytic equilibria. Redox reactions. Complexal reactions. Chosen electrochemical methods. Interactions of substances with electromagnetic radiation.
  • Physical chemistry:
  • 14. Phase states. Phase equilibria. Chemical equilibria.
  • 15. Bases of chemical kinetics. Bases of fotochemistry, examples of photochemical reactions. Bases of electrochemistry. Classifications and characteristics of colloid systems.
