Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: understand and explain characteristics of human society and diversity, to divide the world into different geokultural things. Can define individual geokultural region and compare or explain the fundamental differences between regions. For the selected region, more or less identical to the state territory, specifying the external and internal conflicts, and especially explain their causes. Attempts to determine the likely developments and able to defend its position.
Syllabus
  • The course deals with the fundamental concepts of cultural geography focuses on the prehistoric origins of civilization development, including basic knowledge of various cultural traits of humanity - language, religion, ethnic composition, including the writing world. It explains the development of cultural-historical stages from antiquity to the present. The broad spectrum of knowledge, the structure of teaching about the importance of sociocultural factors in the timeframe section of regional specifics. The purpose is to provide a basic understanding of social and cultural integration and desintegračních processes taking place in local or regional communities. At the same time pay attention to cultural heritage in our world.

Teaching methods
The cours is teaching throught lectures and exercises. Students have semestr project about actual problems from kultural geography. After preapering students refer about projects in class discusion.
Assessment methods
This course is teaching once for week. Studies terminated - 1 individual semester paper. .
