Prerequisites
The English course for lower-intermediate students (level A2 CEFR) who can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to speak on the chosen topics, read and find relevant information in the text, listen to and understand basic recordings and master appropriate A2-level vocabulary and grammar.
Syllabus
  • Topics: Familie, Berufe, Tagesablauf, Reisen, Essen, Ausbildung, Einkaufen, Wetter, Freizeit, Hobbys Grammatik: Präteritum, Perfekt, Modalverben, Adjektive, Präpositionen, Nebensätze Übungen zum Hörverstehen

Teaching methods
Practical language class, home and in-class reading, grammar and vocabulary practice, class discussions, presentations given by students
Assessment methods
Continuous assessment. Final A2-level test. In order to be credited, the student must successfully pass (70% pass limit) the final A2 test(reading, vocabulary, grammar, listening).
