Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to play accompaniments of songs, create prelude, interlude, postlude to songs.
Syllabus
  • Playing the instrument – the piano: in relation to the subject Harmony: a) playing the minor scales (c, d, e, f, g, a, h) b) playing the chords and their turns c) playing the basic harmonic cadences (minor keys) d) the basics of improvisation - accompaniments to 25 songs (15 songs of the 2nd class and 10 songs of the 3rd class) - creating the prelude, interlude, postlude to songs - mixed and the general harmony - stylized accompaniment (waltz, syncopated etc.) - modulations, transpositions to key - play with singing song e) playing the piano composition Credit: 1. playing the scales: c, d, e, f, g, a, h (minor) 2. playing the basic harmonic cadences (minor keys) 3. playing the accompaniment to 50 songs (25+25), with singing song + prelude, interlude, postlude, transpositions 4. playing the piano composition
