Course objectives
The aim is to acquire basic knowledge on metrology, conducting physical experiments in the microcosm and in semiconductor structures, processing and interpretation of experimental data. The emphasis is on learning experimental skills to the cohesion of the topics of basic physics course.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course the student should know and know:  Basics of experimental data processing.  To assemble and perform physically measurement of selected physical quantities separately.  Interpret measured and processed data.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus: Laboratory work (after weeks or blocks): 1 to 8 Block It is an advanced task experimental physics of surfaces, clean technologies, optics, atomistic and basic problems of nuclear physics. As part of the course students receive a practicum preparation technology for semiconductor devices in clean rooms for Si technology and the basics of measuring electron microscope in the Laboratory of Electron Microscopy (MU Faculty of Science Kotlářská). 9 to 12 Block 2 It is the task of advanced experimental mass spectrometry MALDI TOF facility at MU. Linear mode of detection, reflectron, LIFT.
