Course objectives
Define and clear the problems about individuals with multiple disabilities. Specialization Education of individuals with multiple disabilities. Education of individuals with physical manetal and visual impairment. Annotation: term multiple disabilities, intervention, aims, tasks, principles of education, specifics of education, individual plan of education, counselling, stimulation.
Learning outcomes
The student will be know: - the problems about individuals with multiple disabilities - orientate oneself in education and training - apply therapies and supportive stimulation
Syllabus
  • Theoretical part: 1. Term multiple disabilities, aetiology. 2. Background and perspectives of intervention. 3. Aims, tasks and principles of education. 4. Process and methods of education. 5. Material and technical tools of education. 6. Variability of development. 7. Special educational diagnostic. 8. Intervention, individual educational plan, aspects of education. 9. Specifics of education. 10. Parents of multiple handicapped children. 11. Stimulation of gross motor, positioning, support of creeping. 12. Sitting as important stage for manipulation with different tools. 13. Stimulation and fine motor and sensory functions. 14. Facilitation and its techniques, practical use. 15. Psychomotor, perception of environment. 16. Stimulation and self care, spatial orientation. 17. Stimulation and communication, oro-facial stimulation. 18. Development of thinking, imagination and memory. 19. Relaxation and game. 20. Snoezelen (content, equipment, compensation and stimulation tools). 21. Concept of multisensorial stimulation. 22. Personality of educator of multiple disabled.
