Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit is to acquire knowledge in the field of education and education of children, pupils and students with hearing impairment, eventually other associated disabilities, especially with deafblindness. In particular, the specifics of child education will be defined and pupils in special education and mainstream schools (teaching organizations, communication approaches. Learning outcomes

Students will also be orientated in the area of ​​care for adults and the elderly with hearing disabilities, as well as in the area of ​​employment of hearing impaired people in the open labor market.
Syllabus
  • Education system for people with hearing impairment - preschool, elementary school for student with hearing impairment, secondary school for the hearing impaired, the possibility of studying students with hearing impairment at the university. Professional training and employment of people with hearing disabilities. Inclusive education of children, pupils and students with hearing impairment - conditions, cooperation with special education center, services provided by special education center for hearing impaired pupils, regular school teachers and parents, legislation. Support measures for pupils with the need for support due to hearing impairment or hearing impairment perception. Deaf Community - Deaf culture, organization of hearing impaired people, deaf clubs, Leisure time activities, journals focusing on the issue of hearing impairment. Character Interpreting Process, Code of Ethics for Interpreters, Interpretation Specifics Communication systems. Hearing defect and other combined disabilities - care for individuals with auditory and other associated defects, The current concept of multiple disabilities, the possibility of augmentative and alternative communication.
