Prerequisites (in Czech)
Zájem studenta o předmět dějepis a odbornou historickou práci, elementární znalosti o institucích, které se věnují studiu historie a souvisejí s přípravou na učitelské povolání, praktickým poznáváním oboru, základní práce s odbornou literaturou a nejzákladnější terminologie spojující vyučovací předmět dějepis a odbornou (historickou) práci.

Course objectives
The course plays an important role in the field of information and orientation of students in the search, study and processing of knowledge from literature and sources, including the determination of the most important methods, procedures and resources in study and research, ie their own historical craft. It introduces students not only to the study of history, but also to university studies in general. The course creates the necessary basis for the study of all other historical disciplines and subjects, or for the study of the development of one's own historical process.
Learning outcomes
The student is oriented in the search, study and processing of knowledge from literature and sources, including the determination of the most important methods, procedures and means in study and research, ie their own historical craft.
Syllabus
  • Theoretical bases (subject, tasks of history, development of views on history, philosophy of Czech history). Organization of historical work (universities, institutes, historical societies, dictionaries, bibliographies, magazines, archives and museums, libraries, monument care). Theory and practice in the historian's work. Stages of scientific historical work. Methods, publishing the results of work.
