- Course objectives
- Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to acquaint students with the basics of neurology.
- Learning outcomes
- • The student knows the basic concepts of neurology for the needs of special educators;
• can apply the acquired knowledge in educating a pupil with special educational needs. - Syllabus
- Anatomy of nervous system,
- neuron and reflexive activity,
- motor, sensitive ans peripheral nerve and vegetative autonomous system,
- brain nerves,
- reticular formation of cerebral stem,
- cerebral cortex, functional asymmetry of cerebral hemispheres, symbolic functions,
- consciousness and sleep,
- infantile cerebral palsy, mini cerebral dysfunctions, epileptic syndromes, headaches,
- infantile neurosis, head and spinal injuries.
