Course objectives
Language Acquisition is a relatively new field of study which seeks to understand the processes of learning a native (FLA - First Language Acquisition) or a second language (SLA - Second Language Acquisition). An understanding of second language acquisition is extremely useful for language teachers as it can help them develop appropriate instructional strategies. The seminar focuses on the key concepts of SLA and their application in the language classroom.
