Course objectives
The participants will read and discuss shorter fiction written in German in the last two decades.
Syllabus
  • 1. Post-GRD-Literature. 2. Senior writers. 3. Postmodern authors. 4. Authors with multicultural background. 5. Generation "pop". 6. Young female authors. 7. Generation single. 8. Generation "bestseller". 9. Gorgeous underdogs.

Assessment methods
To pass the course, it is demanded to read all the texts included in the reader, to appear in classes regularly and to conduct one of them, and to write a comparative essay (length: min. 2 pages, comparing two or more texts discussed in class with respect to a common topic).
