SV4BP_2NB1 is a follow-up course of the course SV4BP_1NB1 organised within level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. A pass in SV4BP_1NB1 represents an essential precondition for enrolment for this course.

Course objectives
The course focuses on German as a language of studies as well as further development of language skills within the given level (B1). Practice involves: 1) comprehending authentic texts in written and recorded form 2) presentations and discussions, dialogues, presenting arguments and expressing personal opinions 3) writing less complicated formal texts, brief letters and essays.

Assessment methods
Practical language course. Level B1. Examination requirements: Written test Part A - grammar, Part B topics, Final presentation. If a student does not give the final presentation in front of the class, he/she cannot be credited. If a student does not pass the final presentation, he/she must come to an oral exam and speak on the same topic but reaching the required level of presentation skills.
