Course objectives
Genres of the childrens literature. The history of the genres and their representatives in the childrens literature. The course is divided into the childrens and juvenile literature. The elementary characteristics. Oral and written reviews about books to the genres.
Syllabus
  • Childrens lyrics. Nursery rhyme. Reflexive lyrics, nonsense poetry. Riddles and their history. Picture book, comics. Illustration in the childrens literature and important illustrators. Realistic juvenile novel. 2. world war in the juvenile literature. Fantastic story and fantasy, elementary characteristics and differencies. Magazines for children. Religious literature for children.

The course focuses mainly on the primary juvenile literature. The attendance i obligatory. Regular homework. Oral presentation of the homework. One written review of the read book. History, genres and the wellknown writers in the juvenile literature. List of the obligatory reading.
