Course objectives
Practice of Russian intonation by means of short texts, practice of pronunciation by means of single speech sounds and poetry. Revision of transcription. Construction of intonation (IK-1 - IK-7).

  • Pronunciation training of soft consonants. 2. IK 1. Intonation in interrogative sentence. 3. IK 2. Wh- questions.. 4. IK 3. Yes-no questions. 5. Intonation in SVOC sentence and compound sentence. 6. Intonation in one-section and multi-section sentences. 7.IK 4. Expressing surprise, specification. 8. Intonation in different types of questions. 9 IK 5. Intonation devices for expressing degrees of quality and quantity. 10. IK 6. Expressing positive attitude to an object. 11. IK Expressing negative attitude to an object. 12. Sentence transcription.

Teaching methods
Regular activ participation in the class. Listening in russian language. Reading russian texts and correct pronunciation.
Assessment methods
The course finishes with a credit, which consists of both oral and written part. The written part – the test (transcription, intonation). The oral part – short texts reading, poems recitation. The correct pronunciation and intonation is evaluated.
