Course objectives
The main aim is an advancement of accompaniment of a folk or artificial songs. At the end of the course students should be able to play the songs in transpositions in other keys and make an individual harmonisation of easy folk melodies. Playing of 2 compositions. Playing the retaining tonal method songs in diverse keys. At the end of this course the student will be able to give students the methodological foundations for the pedagogical work with   voice of children and adults.

Syllabus
  • Advancement of accompaniment of engaged melody. 20 Songs with transpositions in other keys (any overhead and lower second and third). Individual harmonisation of easy folk melodies. Two piano pieces. Playing the retaining tonal method songs in diverse keys. A performance (a committee of teachers) is ambodied in schooling. The student plays one of compositions: R. Schumann Op. 68 UBOHÝ SIROTEK (Armes Waisenkind), LOVECKÁ (Jägerliedchen), VESELÝ ROLNÍK PŘI NÁVRATU Z PRÁCE (Fröhlicher Landmann von der Arbeit zurückkehrend), F. Chopin: Preludio Op. 28 No. 20 and one folk song with trasnpositions (any overhead and lower second and third). 1. – 2. Retaining songs for tonal method songs in different keys. 3. The first concert composition 4. – 5. Individual harmonisation of simple folk songs 6. The second concert composition 7. Accompaniment to folk song no. 1 – 3 8. Accomp. to folk song no. 4 – 6 9. Accomp. to folk song no 7 – 9 10. Accomp. to folk song no 10 – 13 11. Accomp. to folk song no 14 – 17 12. Accomp. to folk song no 18 – 20 Breathing, articulatory and vocal technical exercises, held tones in the middle range, crescendo and decrescendo. Exercises to deal with larger intervals (forth, fifth, eighth), building the range of the voice

Practical exercises, consultations, studies of recommended music literature
Assessment methods
20 Songs with transpositions (any overhead and lower second and third). Student plays one solo piano piece. Homeworks. Duty to attend the classwork. practical and teoretical examination
