Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical science disciplines is required for participation in seminars, needed to conduct professional interview with the patient, preferably in relation to the subject of pharmaceutical care.

Course objectives
Introducing issues of patient - pharmacist relationship , interviewing, nonverbal characteristics, verbal characteristics, asking questions, verifying of understanding.
Learning outcomes
After attending the course the student will be able to:
- provide planning the organizational and technical aspects of counselling activities in the pharmacy;
- provide professional dialog with the patient within pharmacy counselling;
- provide relevant documentation and check the outcomes of recommended interventions.

  • 1. Information on requirements for consulting services
    2. Introduction to the relationship "pharmacist - patient"
    3. How to develope the interaction "pharmacist - patient"
    4. Communication techniques for managing consulting interview
    5. Documentation of the consultations
    6. Specifics of work with handicapped patients
    7. Practise complete consulting interview
