Course objectives
The aim of the course is to enable students to identify and apply learning strategies in a digital environment that suits them, and thus develop one of the key competences for the 21st century. Through their own experience and that of their classmates, students will be guided to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to be a successful student in a digital environment, and that there is no single path that fits all or that will always work. The aim of the course is also to provide students with the tools that will help them plan their learning, reflect on their progress and adjust their study plan as needed so that their studies in the digital environment are successful, despite the pitfalls of procrastination and others. This awareness and the skills acquired will be useful not only in their further study, but also a valuable experience for them when they find themselves in the role of those who will design education in a digital environment for others, which reflects the objective of studying the field of Pedagogy with specialization in digital technologies in education. The issue of lifelong learning and its educational context in the Czech Republic will also be addressed.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- explain the concept of lifelong learning and place it in the context of education in the Czech Republic;
- find suitable learning resources in the digital environment with regard to specific topics and language;
- identify a learning strategy for the digital environment that suits them;
- apply a learning strategy for the digital environment that suits them;
- plan their learning, reflect on their learning progress and adapt the plan to their needs so that their study in the digital environment is successful.
