Course objectives

In the form of lectures by foreign and local experts, or organized cultural events, the course introduces students theoretically and practically to Polish culture and science.

Learning outcomes

By completing the course, the student gains an overview of:
- the research activities of prominent foreign and domestic polonists;
- selected topics of contemporary polonistic research;
- about contemporary Polish culture and its creators.

• Topics are based on the current guest list and calendar of cultural events.

• Zalecana literatura przedstawiana jest na bieżąco w zależności od tematu wykładu lub wydarzenia..

Teaching methods

Lectures, workshops and cultural events (readings, concerts, theatre performances, discussions).

Assessment methods

Credit is awarded for appropriate attendance at lectures, workshops and cultural events (outside of the normally scheduled classes). The required minimum is 7 attendances (plus preparation).
