Course objectives
Basic concepts and definitions; the place of ethnology in the system of the humanities; methodology; historical ethnography and contemporary ethnography; problems of ethnogenesis and ethnic history studies; ethnographic regionalism and cultural differentiation; phenomenon of tradition; ecology of folklore; folklore and mass culture, new forms of communication.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Volný cyklus výkladů o mezioborových vazbách etnologie a jejích subdisciplín. Konfrontace koncepcí z hlediska etnologie a spřízněného vědeckého oboru, pokud možno za účasti jeho představitele (archeologie, historie, dějiny umění, muzikologie, lingvistika).
