- Course objectives
- Family Pedagogy The course of the family pedagogy is based on the characteristics of the family of today in modern society and on its main functions. Out of these functions, the course particularly concentrates on the educational function (socialization, reproductive function, support). This course is interested in such a structure and atmosphere of a family, that are optimal from the point of view of fulfilling its educational function, and at the same time in those circumstances, that make the fulfillment of this function difficult or impossible. Attention is paid both to families with children of all ages and to families consisting of adult members only. Part of the course also consists in the introduction of some of the possible models of family education, of the issues of communication and cooperation between family and school and finally of the position of state in the relation to family: to parents; duty to take care of their child and to the adult children;s duty to take care of their parents.
