Course objectives
The objective of this course is to introduce the student to the problematics of English to French translation. Grammatical, morphological, syntactic and stylistic differences will be discussed. In each class the student will be able to practice a translation of texts from various spheres of everyday life: journalism, law, economy, informatics and literature.

Assessment methods
- active participation in classes 1) credit: short credit test translation covering the features examined in the course 2) exam: a translation of the students' own choice presenting an interesting translation of sufficient complexity (it can also be a film sequence, comics, etc.), its previous preparation and discussion with the students' colleagues in class. This will take place in December, partly in January.
