Course objectives
Having completed the lectures students are to be able to apply photography as method of visual anthropology in a particular, independently selected (mini)project/topic.
Syllabus
  • The lecture will make the students acquainted with the theory and practice of visualisation in the field of anthropology, with the relation between the pictorial and the text planes, and above all with the analysis of the character of the photographic documentation and its interpretation.
