The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim is to gain the ability to understand the historical development of animal husbandry and treatment and focus on the historical context of the relationship between man and animal, by man organizes breeding animals and their treatment. In the context of current knowledge to be able, on the basis of knowledge of history, to focus on selected issues of the field of study and have the opportunity to become acquainted with historical documents and materials documenting the historiography of sophisticated Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, including the hygienic food production of animal origin and social use of animals by man. The aim is to present the diversity of the human-animal consistency and validity of the coherence of the biological sciences in historical context and understand the particular health claim about one health and one medicine. On the basis of museum exhibits declare developments in selected areas of breeding and treatment of animals and to introduce specific health historiography in contemporary historical research.
