- Course objectives
- The aim of the B.A. thesis seminar is to assist students to compose the B.A. thesis and to prepare for its successful defence.
- Learning outcomes
- After the completion of the course, the student shall be able:
- to create a hypothesis, an outline, and a time frame for the qualification thesis in linguistics;
- to research upon and work with relevant literature in the field, according to the thematic focus of their thesis;
- to compile relevant research materials through adequate methods;
- to describe, analyze, interpret, and assess the gathered material;
- to write a qualification thesis within the required length and quality standard in terms of contents, language, and formatting, in accordance with the requirements for bachelor theses in the field of linguistics. - Syllabus
- 1. To get acquainted with relevant academic sources.
- 2. To gather the material (if relevant for the purpose of the thesis).
- 3. To analyze the material and write individual chapters.
- The structure of the course will be the result of the tutorials.
- Students of specialized study programmes choose topics of their theses in accordance with their specialization.
