Basic orientation in the art of 20th century. Orientation in art's management. Orientation in contemporary artistic operations.

Course objectives
Cycle of lectures given by visiting teachers. Their subjects are oriented towards questions of historical cultural research. Students will be acquainted with remarkable Czech and European names in cultural theory where they will also be able to discuss their special research.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students will be introduced to current events in the field of contemporary art science.
Students will recognize important researchers and artists.
Students will be acquainted with current methodological procedures in the field of arts research
Syllabus
  • Lectures and excursions concentrated in four days. Discussion on given topics.
Literature
  • Aktuální literatura dle zvaných hostů.
  • Aktuální literatura dle zvaných hostů.

    Current literature by guest.

Teaching methods
Lectures and class discussions.
Assessment methods
Two essays concerning: 1) one of the themes spoken by guest-lecturers, 2) reflection of the contemporary culture according to the own experience of a student.
