Course objectives
The course gives basic information on Polish pronunciation, declination, conjugation, word forming, and syntactic structures. The part of teaching are Polish texts and grammatical exercises.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course students will be able to:
- understand and explain grammatical structures adequate to the course level;
- explain the formation of the grammatical forms discussed in the lessons
- build correct grammatical structures;
- know Polish orthography rules.

  • Polish pronunciation
  • Polish categories of number, gender and case
  • Declination and conjugation (basic information)
  • Personal pronouns
  • Conjugation -am, -asz, verbs być, mieć
  • Accusative sg. of nouns, modifiers and personal pronouns
  • Conjugation -ę, -esz a ę, -isz/-ysz
  • Past tense
  • Instrumental sg. and pl. of nouns, modifiers and personal pronouns
  • Genitive sg. of nouns, modifiers and personal pronouns
  • Possessive pronouns
  • Future tense
  • Aspect of verbs and forming of perfective and imperfective verbs
  • Locative sg. and pl. of nouns, modifiers and personal pronouns
