- The aim of the course is to deepen the knowledge of Modern Greek and to develop the vocabulary and communicative competence (level A2 CEFR).
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course students should be able to:
- understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. employment);
- communicate in the common situations of everyday life;
- understand simple texts focused on given topics and translate them into czech and vice versa;
- explain and apply grammar discussed in seminars. - Syllabus

- Teaching methods
- The course has a form of a seminar and lectures. Homework is required during semester – students prepare assigned grammatical exercises and short translations from Modern Greek into Czech and vice versa.
- Assessment methods
- Homework is required during the semester, students prepare assigned exercises and translations, which they sumbit into MS Teams by the specified deadline and then present during the lessons (It is necessary to submit completed homeworks by the specified deadline and then actively participate in at least 70% of the presentations.). Requirements for obtaining the credit: passing a written test (min. 70 %) and presenting homeworks (min. 70 %). In the middle of the semester, students take a midterm test.
