Course objectives
Preparing for the acquisition of the respective language competence has been in progress since the first semester, it consists of a balanced progression of all language skills (listening, reading, speaking, writing), acquisition of the cultural, political and geographical background and training of methodical skills. Grammar exercises and translation exercises form an integral part of the subject.
Learning outcomes
AThose who passed the exam are able to understand in detail longer radio programs and lectures, to read and understand a wide range of professional and journalistic texts, to write essays on complex issues, to express themselves in a clear and structured manner and to choose a register suitable for a particular function of the text, to speak spontaneously and precisely, to defend their opinions, to formulate their ideas and to prepare their own presentations without secondary literature or other sources, if they are based on the themes in the textbook Sicher! (B2.1 to C1.2).
Syllabus
  • The semester programme is divided into four units in which students can perfect their individual language skills: Grammar, Translations into German, Subtests Reading Comprehension (LV) and Listening Comprehension (HV) are predominantly practiced with Czech teachers, the two subtests Written Expression (SA ) and Oral Expression (MA) will be more focused by the German lecturers. At the same time, the error correction is practiced, which could save the lecturer some time with written tests of weaker students.
