Course objectives
Syllabus: The topic of seminar is to introduce students, within their active participation in class, with American drama from Eugen O'Neill to post-Broadway playwrights of 80's and 90's (Paula Vogel, Tony Kushner). The seminar will be based on analysis and interpretation of concrete dramatic pieces.

  • Programme: Each class will deal with the dramatic text(s) of one of the playwrights. The order is following: Eugene O'Neill, Thornton Wilder, Lillian Helman, Tennesee Williams, Arthur Miller, Edward Allbee, Sam Shepard, David Mamet, Lanford Wilson, Paula Vogel, Tony Kushner)
