Course objectives
: This course focuses on some of the major contributions toward the study of gender that have been made by feminist anthropologists. Examination of the complex, interrelated topics of sex and gender differences; the psychology of women; the psychology of men; and the social and personal "realities" created by gender interactions.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Hlavní témata: - Feminismus a ženská studia. - Objasnění pojmů, vymezení úkolů stejnojmenných kurzů na - Feministické teorie, jejich zaměření a historické proměny. - Z historie ženského hnutí v českých zemích. Zvláštnosti tohoto hnutí. - Matriarchát a patriarchát. - Evoluční teorie, současný pohled na tuto otázku, matrilinearita a patrilinearita. - Pojem gender - rod. - Feminismus a výchova. - Otázky kulturní a genetické determinace. - Lidská práva a ženská otázka. - Aktuální otázky legislativy, která se týká žen, u nás a v zemích EU. - Gender a sociální problematika. - Emancipace žen.
