Course objectives
The seminar focuses on Vaculíks works (novels, columns, commentary) and included elements of fiction and reality.
Syllabus
  • 1. Ludvík Vaculíks biography and his work; 2. Na farmě mládeže (črta za státního statku), Rušný dům; 3. Sekyra; 4. commentary in the 60., Nepaměti; 5. Morčata; 6. Český snář; 7. columns written before 1989 – collections Stará dáma se baví, Jaro je tady, srpnovy rok; story Obrana bytu; 8 Jak se dělá chlapec; 9. Milí spolužáci; 10. Cesta na Praděd; 11. Loučení k Panně; 12. columns written after 1989 – collection Poslední slovo and the new columns from Lidové noviny; 13. Nové vlastenecké písně Karla Havlíčka Borovského and Polepšené pěsničky.
