Course objectives
The propose of this Discipline is to boarding the existent differences in the Portuguese Brazilian language in his characteristic distinction: Historical, regional, social and cultural, given the continental dimensions of the Country what they produced again the very different and rich form of the inherited Portuguese of the times of colony. To the end of the course the students will have to be suitable recognizing the existent diversity in the Portuguese language spoken in Brazil, as well as reflecting critically this variety from cultural, social and political analyses.
Syllabus
  • - The arrival of the Portuguese language in Brazil. - The contact with the native languages. - The influence of the African language. - The evolution and the interbreeding of the Portuguese language in Brazil. - The expansion of the Portuguese language in the Brazilian territory. - The regional characteristics of the Brazilian Portuguese. - The regionalism presents and the social segregation in the linguistic variety of the Portuguese Brazilian language. - Analysis uncodyfing of the Brazilian Portuguese from the cultural demonstrations. - The interventions of the media in the evolution of the Portuguese language well-known and written in Brazil in the today times.
