At the end of the course students should be able to:

understand the development of Chinese thought in its historical and social context;
understand essential concepts of Chinese thought;
interpret a short Chinese philosophical text in translation

Written test consisting of ca 20 multiple-choice questions, minimum pass level 70 %.
Oral examination aimed at testing the student’s insight into the main facts, theories, concepts and methodologies of the discipline, and at checking the student’s ability to connect relevant facts into logical relations.
