Course objectives
The course is divided into 13 teaching units of 2 hours, of which half will be devoted to historical and social aspects of immigration, the second one to literary aspects. The aim of the historical and sociological part will sum up social changes of the North American society, while the guided reading and analyzing of literary texts will try to identify identitary aspects reflected in literary works as part of the aesthetic intention.
